
Scent is very weak substance. Smelling is the only one of the five feelings connected to the part of brain that makes emotions. Mostly metaphor is used to explain scent of fragrances. The perfume industry has been created with the help of ephemeral concepts.
But how perfume is made?
Perfumery compositions for the preparation of plant, animal and chemical raw materials, natural and synthetic, more than 400 scented arrangement had been used substances.
For the preparation of perfume composition more than 400 very natural and synthetic scented substances are used that comes from plant, animal and raw materials.
- Herbal aromatic substances – flower petals, fruits, leaves and logs are used as raw materials for herbal aromatic substances. Essential oils are derived from them which will be the base of fragrances.
- Aromatic substances of animal origin – amber, musk, castoreum, civetta are more expensive than other components but these components define the quality of perfume.
- Synthetic aromatic substances – Synthetic aromatic substances are made from herbal aromatic substances by chemical means and it allows to make unique smells and perfumes.
If it is impossible to remove the scented substances of products with high-temperature then distillation method is applied. In this case, flowers, grass and logs are entered into boiling water. Scented steam directed to refrigerator with special tube and the scented essence is condensing in there. Aromatic oil is derived as a result.
Some people think that there should not be fat content in a good perfume but this is completely wrong. Problem is this, that it is impossible to make any other substance than oil from aromatic extracts of different flowers, grass and other products.
Any perfume should be kept in shadow, cool and far from straight solar light. Perfume lid should be kept tightly. Perfume shelf life is 2-3 years. Change in color and formation of sediments mean fragrance is corrupted.
